About the Author:
Lacey Alsup Grant began this impromptu story about a squirrel as a story to teach her kids about the creatures that live in their backyard . She grew up in the small town of Winnfield, Louisiana where she learned everything she could about squirrels from her father. Lacey works as a pediatric speech therapist in Forth Worth, Texas, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters. She and the illustrator, Julie, are lucky enough to be sisters-in-law.
About the Illustrator:
Julie Burleson Grant grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Saint Edwards University to receive her degree in Art. She now lives with her husband and three children in Fort Worth, Texas where she teaches art at All Saints' Episcopal School. She is now in the process of illustrating her second book and continues to enjoy helping students appreciate the importance and significance of art.
